Here's one of my recent favorite programs...a free, easy to use Backup
program...EZ Backup It's called
What makes this program somewhat different from other backup
programs is that you can backup specific program files. For example,
you can use the wizard to backup all files with a specific file
extension...like .Doc for all your Word documents. Maybe .jpg or
.gif. Great if you have photos stored all over the place. You can
also backup all your e-mail folders and Favorites. Here's more info on this
program...Click. There have been many news articles on 'going green' and saving our resources. Can you help? You can if you're in the habit of letting your computer idle 'on' all day (and night) long. There have been numerous discussions on should I or should I not leave my computer on when not in use. My position has always been to shut it down...at least when I plan on being away from it for several hours and, especially overnight. Not only will you give your computer a break and an opportunity to 'clean itself up' but you may save, surprisingly, several dollars a month on your electric bill. If you do not turn your computer off then at least consider setting your power options to "turn off your monitor after" maybe 5-10 minutes of idleness. Save power and your monitor as well. Overnight is especially important...why? Well, see what happened to my wife's computer when she forgot to shut it down the other night...Click this: see.htm Until next time...
